
MVRPC’s Land Fabric Mapping Application features many data layers and analysis results such as zoning, land use, adopted future land use plan, land suitability measures, land development condition measures, and land developability measures. Items featured in this applications were developed as part of the existing condition phase of MVRPC’s Going Places regional land use planning initiative. View the Map

The MVRPC Map Gallery is a collection of 60 interactive web maps, each containing several data layers. Currently, web maps are grouped in 6 categories: Boundaries, Census, Environment, Going Places, Transportation and OPSS (Online Planning Support System). Web maps and data resources featured in the Map Gallery are also fully accessible through MVRPC’s ArcGIS Online Resource Group. More than 3000 annexation records are maintained by the Franklin County Engineer’s Office. The Franklin County Ohio Annexation Index map is frequently updated for planning and administrative purposes. The multi-layered PDF uses our current Road Map and Street Locator as the base map. This is the “Official Zoning Map” for the City of Sylvania. The map uses symbology representations to visually display more detail and a figure-ground feathering technique with buffers to help highlight the area of interest and fade the background into white space. More Info

The Franklin County Engineer’s Office maintains a network of over 3500 survey monuments with the help of our GIS. Scattered throughout the central Ohio region our survey network helps public and private entities to maintain tight controls and exact information for infrastructure projects and boundary maintenance. This map is one of a series of 18 maps that show the distribution of monuments, our transportation system, jurisdiction, and the original land survey systems. View the Map The City of Sandusky Tree Inventory is a working map of the trees within city limits located between the curb and the sidewalk. This map is continually updated by both the Service Center and Public Works department as they plant and remove trees. The goal of the map is to educate citizens, promote green infrastructure and enable informed decision making by management about what trees to plant, remove and trim.

The Franklin County Ohio Road Map and Street Locator includes over 12,000 roads and more than 3,000 annexations. Our latest edition, produced from our GIS, was published in May of 2017. This poster sized map depicts areas in Cuyahoga County meeting the criteria for “Food Deserts” (greater than 1/2 mile from a supermarket, and in a high poverty area). The choropleth map displays an index of death rates from diseases linked to diet. An additional layer shows “Distressed Areas”, having especially high rates of poverty and/or low access to vehicles. The analysis was conducted in 2017 by the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission for the County Board of Health, under its Creating Healthy Communities program. View the Project
