It is that time of year when we ask for those of you to renew your yearly membership or join us as a member at the Ohio Chapter of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association the premiere GIS Professional Organization in Ohio.
By joining us, you contribute to the GIS profession in Ohio and to your own professional development. Last year, the chapter organized 3 workshops and was a major sponsor in the Ohio GIS Conference at no additional cost to its members. We thank those of you who contributed to the organization in the previous years and we could not operate without your support.
We plan to continue to reinvest your contributions back to the membership and to the GIS profession by offering workshops, organizing events and networking opportunities. We invite everyone to visit www.ohurisa.org for GIS job posting, GIS events and workshop announcements, as the site is updated regularly. The site also has credit card processing by accessing the Ohio Chapter of URISA Store for renewal and new memberships.
As a reminder, another benefit of joining is earning GISP points for the GIS Professional certification offered by the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI). The chapter typically meets once a month at 1980 W. Broad St Columbus, Ohio 43223 (ODOT) at 11:00 am in room GB. The Ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program (OGRIP) Forum is held afterward.
